Check an image for AI generation or editing

One free check without an account. You get the grade and a plain-language summary in about a minute. The image and the result are not saved.

What can be checked

  • The original file: as it came from the camera, or as you received it and saved it without editing.
  • A screenshot, when that is all you have.
  • Screenshots of posts or messages: AI generation and editing are checked, but not whether what was shown really existed.
  • A photo of a screen or a printout, or a still from a video. These are usually marked “Not assessed”.

What happens to your image

  • The free check doesn't store your image or the result on our servers. The image is processed to produce the result, then discarded.
  • The check is automated. Parts of it send the image to external analysis services, listed in the privacy policy.
  • Our staff don't see your image.
  • To limit the free check to one a day, we keep a counter based on a one-way hash of your network address, deleted the next day.
